The Blenko hand blown glass water bottle has been an American made design masterpiece since 1938. The water bottle is the West Virginia based Blenko Glass Company's longest continually produced item and the most popular. Use it for cold beverages, sangria, cut flower arrangements, or as a carafe when topped with an orange, apple or other fresh fruit for a "stopper." The vibrant colors exemplify Blenko's history as stained glass makers since the 19th century. Mount Vernon has examples of American colored glass in the collection. The standout natural mineral colors of the glass bottles look wonderful individually or together.
